I
introduction to Planet ArtVLOG.
My name is Marcus van Soest, also known as POWERPAINTER and since
many years i roam the worldwideweb under that name and have used
many others. On the web it became part of my Art to shapeshift from
one form into the other, and in many situation they would build
collective projects and comment on eachothers posts.
Here i am
'Naked Artist', an avatar name which was born in the light of the
vulnerable position i found myself in as a Human Being, living in a
human society and in being an ARTIST, dwelling in The World of Art!
My idea is that there is no division between my human form and
artistic being, in other words, the artistic being belongs to the
core of what i truly am, it belongs to the center of my being! As
for what society matters i tend to live in two worlds at the same
time and on occasion my being is under a tremendous pressure and
many times i felt friction between the two, which drove me mad at
that times!
Planet ArtVLOG At first i created this site with his
database and modules as a refuge, a place to shelter from these
frictions between me and the society machine. It is meant as a
place where artists are free to create as they wish and where they
are seen as useful, as the flower of civilization! Planet ArtVLOG
became part of my Art and a way to start meaning something for
others too!
Naked Artist My first professional interest is
to be able to live from my Art, therefor
I see myself as a
Tree wanting to eat it´s own Fruit.
Because my art is to
päint what comes from within, knowing it stems from the core of my
being, i found myself in the position of pure nakedness, hence the
vulnerability that comes to that. Years ago the web became a
path to spread information about my art and projects. In my life
i've experienced many situations which are common for persons that
are born artists, like being inspired, the madness in me and around
me, deeper truth, lonelyness, feeling uncomprehended, weird
ideasand more. I went through many positive and negative movements
that seems to belong to the anomaly they call artist!
The Facebook Application The place at our sites end where
artists and those interested in artist backgrounds can explore the
idea to start publishing at this virtual magazine that aims for
getting printed and distributed to subscribers. As for the
technical part of Planet ArtVLOG's database, this high tech
mean-machine is under continuing development by me, doing all it
alone, having mastered these techniques needed to build and
maintain a database as complicated as this one! Message to the
Artists who add the application: go to your profile page and apply
for a publisher role. write some motivation about why you would
